Kabul is kaput as the Taliban seize control of the Afghanistan government

Kabul and the entire country of Afghanistan have fallen to the Islamic fighters of the Taliban. Images reminiscent of the fall of Saigon in Vietnam to end the Vietnam war told the story the Biden administration wouldn’t tell the world. After telling America and the world that Kabul was secured and the Taliban were incapable of taking over the city, the government, and the nation, they did just that.

The Biden administration has been silent on the fall of Kabul and Afghanistan.

Biden was quick to blame the 20-year war on his predecessors, which for eight years, included himself as Vice President under President Barack Obama.

“America went to Afghanistan 20 years ago to defeat the forces that attacked this country on September 11th. That mission resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden over a decade ago and the degradation of al Qaeda. And yet, 10 years later, when I became President, a small number of U.S. troops still remained on the ground, in harm’s way, with a looming deadline to withdraw them or go back to open combat,” Biden said.

“Over our country’s 20 years at war in Afghanistan, America has sent its finest young men and women, invested nearly $1 trillion dollars, trained over 300,000 Afghan soldiers and police, equipped them with state-of-the-art military equipment, and maintained their air force as part of the longest war in U.S. history,” the President continued.

Now that $1 trillion in infrastructure and equipment is in the hands of the Islamic State of Afghanistan.

Biden issued a five-step plan to secure Afghanistan on Saturday. Hours later, that plan was dead. The country had fallen before Biden’s plan could be started.

On Sunday, the President remained silent while continuing his vacation at Camp David.
