EVESHAM, NJ – On July 24, 2021, officers and paramedics were dispatched to a residence for the report of a female in labor with her first child. For Evesham Police Officers, this is a call that that is responded to several times a year. In 99.9% of those cases, Officers provide initial care until EMS arrives and takes over.
“Well this time was the .1% and for Officers Matthew Addezio and Anthony Padulese something very special was about to happen,” the Evesham Police Department said in a statement. “Officer Addezio, a United States Air Force trained combat medic, quickly recognized that there was no time to wait for paramedics…the baby was coming now.”
Without hesitation, Officer Addezio took control of the situation and with the help of Officer Padulese, delivered a beautiful and healthy baby girl within minutes of arriving on scene.
“The Evesham Township Police Department is extremely proud of Officers Addezio and Padulese for their quick action and compassion,” the department said.
.On July 29, 2021, Officers Addezio and Padulese had the privilege of visiting with the newest member of the Evesham PD family, baby Ar’mani Brown-Campbell. Pictured in the photo are mom (Dy’Shanye), dad (Imani) & grandmom.
