BALTIMORE, MD – The October death of 4-year-old Deyonte Davis has officially been ruled a homicide after a report by the Medical Examiner’s office found the cause of the boy’s death to be of methadone intoxication.
“On October 30, 2020, at approximately 9:27 p.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to Johns Hopkins Hospital for a report of a child death,” the Baltimore Police Department said. “Once at the location, officers located 4-year-old Deyonte Davis, who was recently pronounced deceased by doctors.
Investigators noticed no signs of foul play to the victim’s body and the body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death. On January 5, 2021, Homicide detectives were notified that this case had been ruled a homicide due to Methadone intoxication. Homicide detectives are investigating this incident.
