Michael K. Williams, who made his name in Hollywood on “The Wire” has been found dead in his apartment. The New York Post reported Williams was found by his nephew in his living room in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Williams is a five-time Emmy nominee.
His death is, at this time suspected to be an overdose from heroin or fentanyl and police, the Post said, did not find any evidence of foul play. Police were at Williams’ Kent Avenue luxury apartment in Williamsburg.
He played Omar Little in the hit TV series “The Wire”.
Between 2002 and 2008, five seasons of the Wire aired on HBO.
