INDIANTOWN, FL – Two Palm Beach County men who attempted to conceal the stolen car they were driving by hiding in an empty parking lot, were both charged with crimes related to loaded guns found inside the car.
The driver of the stolen car, 32-year old Gretavious Qunard Ashley of Royal Palm Beach, pulled into the parking along SW Jackson Avenue in Indiantown, but forgot to turn off the headlights. The deputy became suspicious of the vehicle and slowly approached it. That’s when Ashley immediately turned the headlights off. The deputy quickly learned that the vehicle was reported stolen from Palm Beach County. Ashley and his passenger, 18-year old Timothy Terrelle Wells, of Pahokee, complied with the deputy’s commands to exit the vehicle. They were detained and subsequently arrested.
Inside the car, deputies located two loaded handguns. One gun was in the front center console, and the other was in the back seat. The Rugar .380 caliber handgun came back stolen out of Palm Beach County. Both men refused to give their names or say why they were in Martin County.
Gretavious Qunard Ashley was charged with Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Timothy Terrelle Wells, was charged with Grand Theft of a Firearm. Both were booked into the Martin County Jail.
