Stafford Police Officer Gets a Little Thanks for Giving by 96-Year-Old Resident

MANAHAWKIN,  NJ –  When 96-year-old Virginia, a resident of Stafford Township had a late-night issue with her refrigerator days before Thanksgiving, she called the Stafford Police Department.  Instead of referring her to a local appliance repair, police actually showed up at her home to help her.

We love seeing our officers go the extra mile for our community,” the department said of the event.  “This is what the holiday season is all about.”

Virginia, a 96-year-old resident of Stafford Township, called the police last night for an issue with her refrigerator. When officers responded and realized she was running low on some of her groceries, they made a trip back to restock her refrigerator.
