Toms River, NJ – The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office today recognized the accomplishments and careers of two African American officers within their ranks.

“In his 26 years of service, Captain Carrington has worked in almost every unit at OCPO. He presently supervises the Special Investigations Unit. Captain Carrington is the highest-ranking African American in the history of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office,” the department said.
“Joining his father here at OCPO in 2017, Detective Carrington currently serves in the Vehicular Homicide Unit. In 2020, he was awarded the Excellence in Policing Youth Engagement Award from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, for his work with the M.O.V.E. basketball program.
