HOLLYWOOD, CA – Changing history. That’s what tyrants do. The Taliban did it in Afghanistan when they took over the country, destroying monuments and imprisoning and killing dissidents. Now, Hollywood wants to do the same to President Donald J. Trump and have him removed from his cameo in the 1992 hit movie Home Alone 2. The move is straight out of the twentieth century Soviet Union.
“Visual censorship was exploited in a political context, particularly during the political purges of Joseph Stalin, where the Soviet government attempted to erase some of the purged figures from Soviet history, and took measures which included altering images and destroying film,” according to Wikipedia’s account of the former communist dictator’s reign. Former child actor and star of the Home Alone series Macaulay Culkin agreed, responding “sold” and “bravo” to Twitter posts suggesting Trump’s removal.
