COLUMBIA, MD – Howard County Police have reported several incidents involving armed robberies throughout the county this week.
Columbia 9000 block of Snowden Square Drive, Dec. 8, 2 p.m.
An adult male victim reported that he was sitting in his parked vehicle when he was approached by a male suspect who displayed the handgun. The suspect demanded cash and the victim complied. The suspect then fled in a vehicle with another male suspect. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
SUSPECTS: two black males, one approximately 5’10” with dreadlocks wearing a black jacket, no further description on the other suspect
Elkridge, 21075: Five Below, 8200 block of Gateway Overlook Drive, Dec. 8 3:40 p.m.
A store employee reported that upon confronting two suspects who were attempting to steal merchandise, the suspects pepper sprayed the employee and fled with the merchandise. No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
Columbia, 21045: Verizon, 6400 block of Dobbin Center Way, Dec. 8 4:40 p.m.
A store employee reported that two male suspects with their faces partially covered entered the store and one suspect displayed a handgun. The suspects then stole merchandise and cash before fleeing. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

Laurel, 20723: Horsham Drive & Chippenham Drive, Dec. 9 2:02 a.m.
A teenage male victim reported he met with an acquaintance to sell a pair of shoes. The acquaintance entered the victim’s vehicle and displayed a handgun and demanded the shoes. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
