LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – A 7-year-old girl in Lacey Township wasn’t able to participate in Halloween this past Sunday because both her mom and dad, front line healthcare workers are recovering from COVID-19. So, Lacey Township Police went to her home to pay young Ava a visit to cheer her up.
“Earlier this week, our officers learned of Ava, a 7-year old Lacey Twp. Resident, who was unable to participate in Trick-or-Treating due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As Ava’s father recently posted to a community Facebook page, he and Ava’s mother are both pandemic frontline nurses who are currently combating Covid-19 on their own,” the Lacey Police Department said. “Ava’s family asked those in our community to drive by her home today, in an effort to restore Ava’s difficult Halloween. Our officers were eager to join that effort, from a distance. Happy Halloween to Ava, and her Family! We hope that we made your day, as much as you made ours.”
