Homicide detectives charge son for father’s disappearance

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – On February 10, 2021, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) detectives arrested 35-year-old Jeremy Farmer for his alleged involvement in the disappearance and death of his father, 58-year-old Roger F. Farmer.

On December 27, 2019, IMPD began an investigation into the whereabouts of Roger F. Farmer.  Family members reported Roger missing and stated he was last seen on November 22, 2019 at his home located at 6757 Wandering Way.

IMPD Missing Persons detectives began a detailed investigation into the disappearance of Roger F. Farmer.  Detectives gathered information and evidence throughout the investigation that led them to believe that foul play was involved in his disappearance.

Homicide detectives along with Missing Persons detectives, continued to work diligently on this case. Detectives gathered information to believe 58-year-old Roger F. Farmer is deceased.  Detectives continue to search for the remains of Roger F. Farmer.

IMPD Detectives arrested 35-year-old Jeremy Farmer for his alleged involvement in the disappearance of Roger F. Farmer.  The Marion County Prosecutors office has charged Jeremy Farmer with murder.

A charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
