Bruce Springsteen’s daughter named to U.S. Olympic Equestrian team

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Jessica Springsteen, the daughter of Jersey Rocker Bruce Springsteen is heading to Tokyo as a member of the Team USA equestrian jumping team. While her dad might be the boss of the stage, she’s the boss of the stable in the Springsteen family.

Yesterday, US Equestrianannounced the combinations selected to represent the U.S. Jumping Team at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 as part of Team USA in Tokyo, Japan. The team will be led by Chef d’Equipe Robert Ridland and Team Leader Lizzy Chesson.

Distancing herself from her rockstar dad’s shadow, the 30-year-old rider has an impressive equestrian career under her belt. Springsteen lives in Los Angeles, California.

“Springsteen is a lifelong equestrian who started taking riding lessons at age five and has risen through the competitive international ranks to become one of the top jumping athletes for the U.S. She was a dominant force in the equitation ring in her junior years, winning the 2008 ASPCA Maclay Finals and the 2009 WEF Excellence in Equitation Championship,” US Equestrian said. “

Competition will begin on August 3 and continue through August 7 at the Equestrian Park venue.
