Another drug bust at Brick’s Mapleleaf park sends four to jail

BRICK, NJ – Earlier this month, Brick Township Police Department Detectives observed suspicious activity in the area of Mapleleaf Park. As a result, Ptl. Scott Smith conducted a motor vehicle stop. Ptl. Smith and his K9 partner Echo completed an exterior sniff of the vehicle and had a positive indication on the vehicle which led to two arrests.

Joni Briton (30 years old from Brick) was arrested by SCU Detectives and charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, loitering to obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS), Possession of Paraphernalia, failure to turn over CDS, driving while suspended and operating an unsafe motor vehicle.

Jason Feliciano (34 years old from Brick) was arrested and charged with loitering to obtain CDS, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to turn over CDS. Briton and Feliciano were lodged in Ocean County Jail.

On September 13th at approximately 6:00 P.M. SCU detectives responded to McDonald’s (191 Van Zile Road) for a report of a subject appearing to be under the influence. Further investigation led to the discovery of several wax folds containing Heroin. Additionally, several needles containing Heroin and approximately two ounces of Marijuana packaged in several bags were discovered. The detectives sent the marijuana for destruction and the suspect was warned.

Vincent Corcoran (33 years old from Brick) was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Under the influence of CDS, Possession of Alprazolam and Possession of a hypodermic syringe. Corcoran was released on a summons.

On September 15th at approximately 6:30 P.M. SCU detectives responded to the 7-11 (667 Mantoloking Rd) in reference to a male appearing to be under the influence of CDS. Further investigation led to the suspect being placed under arrest for being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Timothy Yeoman (33 years old from Brick) was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of CDS. Yeoman was released on a summons.
